Findings & Crimps: Exceptional Quality
SilverSilk & More custom findings boast unmatched quality, achieved through applying five layers of metal plating, ensuring exceptional end caps and components.
Each finding has five high-quality metal platings over a custom-cast brass base and is stamped with the SilverSilk logo, then polished to perfection. We carry special end caps for every line of SilverSilk, so there’s no guesswork for you to figure out how to finish the ends—We’ve got you covered!
SilverSilk End Caps
Single-strand end caps (4.3mm wide by 12mm long with a single 3mm diameter attached loop)
Double-strand end caps (7mm wide by 12mm long with a single 3mm diameter attached loop)
Triple-strand end caps (12mm wide by 12mm long with a single 3mm diameter attached loop)
Use these end caps to professionally finish the ends of SilverSilk Capture, Pearlesque, Knitted Leather Chain and even Pipe chain. The small loop at the top allows you to attach either a clasp or additional beads and baubles to your liking. To crimp the end cap over the chain, simply place the chain inside the end cap channel, and use wide nose pliers, with a protective coating to prevent scratches or marring, to press the end cap closed. You’ll know it’s closed if you take a look at the seam of the crimp and make sure there’s not a gap. Also, it’s a good idea to tug on the chain to make sure it’s not going to fall out of the crimp.
SilverSilk Terminators
4mm Terminators (3mm wide by 4mm long with no attached loop)
9mm Terminators (3mm wide by 9mm long with no attached loop)
Use these terminators to finish the ends of SilverSilk Capture, Pearlesque, or Knitted Leather Chain. The smooth finish at the top makes it easy to make lariats, bolos, or tassel components by ensuring a polished end to the chain. Simply place the chain inside the terminator channel, and use wide nose pliers, with a protective coating to prevent scratches or marring, to crimp the end cap closed. If the end cap has too narrow of a channel for the chain to be inserted in, you can use your chain nose pliers to gently pry open the end cap by a millimeter or so to help fit the chain better.
Flat Mesh Crimps
Flat Mesh Crimps (5mm wide by 5mm long with a single 3mm diameter attached loop)
Use these crimps to professionally finish the ends of SilverSilk Flat Mesh. To crimp, simply place the chain inside the crimp channel, and use wide nose pliers - with a protective coating to prevent scratches or marring - to crimp the end cap. Attach jump rings, bead baubles, chains, or a clasp to the open loop.
Hollow Mesh Cord Ends
6mm Hollow Mesh Cord Ends (9mm wide by 9mm long)
Use these cord ends to secure the ends of Hollow Mesh. Simply string 3-4mm beads onto beading wire or craft wire, then string Hollow Mesh over the beads and gently pinch the ends of the chain over the last bead on each end. Finally, string one cord end on each end and fit it over the Hollow Mesh for a seamless finish in your design.
2mm Cord Ends
2 mm Cord Ends (Approximately 2 mm inner diameter — fits 3‑Needle Chain)
These cord ends are a clean and easy way to finish SilverSilk 3-Needle Chain. Just insert the end of your chain and press the cap closed with a pair of wide-nose pliers—no glue or stitching needed. Each cap holds the chain securely and creates a strong attachment point for jump rings, clasps, or bead links. You can fit one strand of 3-Needle Chain for a simple look—or up to four strands if you’re going for a fuller, multi-strand design. The end result is a polished, professional finish that makes your jewelry feel complete.
Pipe Chain End Caps
Pipe Chain End Caps (5 mm × 5 mm with 3.5 mm inner channel)
Designed just for SilverSilk Pipe Chain, these end caps add a polished, high-end finish to your jewelry. Slide the cap onto the end of your chain and gently press it closed—no adhesives required. Inside, a snug channel holds the knitted wire in place so your design stays secure.
Once the cap is on, you can easily attach a clasp, beading wire, or even 1mm leather cord through the top opening to complete your piece. These findings are as beautiful as they are functional, and they’re one of the easiest ways to give your design a clean, finished edge.
