The result is a 5mm hollow knitted wire tube that can be filled with leather cord, chain, craft wire, seed beads, or virtually any material between 2-3.5mm found in your beading drawer. The possibilities are endless! The 32-gauge, 99.9% copper wire is permanently enameled and is tarnish-resistant for long-lasting jewelry. Plus, the unique elasticity of the knit lends a luxurious free-flowing feel to the jewelry chain. Hollow Mesh may be expanded by a millimeter or two using a dowel that’s slightly larger than the mesh. Conversely, you can make the mesh smaller by drawing it through an acrylic draw plate, so that the color doesn’t scratch off.
